ITALIAN HOME page

Welcome to my site.

My name is Vito Marolda and I'm a professional, working in variuos segments of industrial electronics and software applications for small business IT networks. I live in Maranello, (Modena) Italy.

My favourite technologies are: Linux, postgres, hibernate, spring-framework, apache, Java, gli ARM7 and (last but not least) StateWORKS.

I'm consultant for some firms in Italy and across Europe. I offer them consulting and design services about software, and control and power hardware.

I always had a particular feeling with electronics, since I was a child. My parents well remember that, in terms of "repaired" radio-recorders. My teachers also, often had a hard time dealing with such a terrible child. Warm greetings and thanks to all them.

I got my High-School degree in July 1998 at I.T.I. "E. Fermi" in Modena, and the following month of August I started working as hardware and software engineer in an electronic firm in Modena.

On September 1993 I leaved that job to start my professional adventure on the beginning of 1994.

As a professional, I designed:

I'm also a technology consultant: I often work  together with inside engineers for creative brainstormings, helping them to find a technological track for the solution of a problem, with cost-benefit analysis.

Having a long-term experience about electronic appliances inside industrial automation machinery, I often perform failure analysis on customer's machines, which is often due to non-optimal cabling.

Since 2006, I am experiencing a new way of designing automation systems: editing state machines with StateWORKS and translating them into C source code with a custom compiler I wrote. Such compiler is targeted to the hardware it has to run on, so the result is fully tailored for the target system. The resulting source code is highly human-readable, so it is easy to find breakpoint points for further debugging of the automation. So my service for customers interested in such way of designing automation systems would be: designing the state machines with StateWorks, tailoring the compiler, and delivery of the tailored compiler. In this way the customer can update the state machines grapically, then launch the compiler, and thus getting the new C sources for the newly designed automation. Persistence support is included (on battery-backup RAM or fast SPI FRAM), so the automation can resume after power-on from the exact point it was turned off.

In this page you will find a good utility for the HP 48GX calculator, great design companion. I have some other utilities in mind, that I will publish as finished.

Thank you vor your visit at my Website. See you soon. Internet is great.
